Dog owners are reminded about the recent state Executive Order which is allowing extra time for residents to re-license their dog(s). Owners now have until June 2, 2021, to renew overdue dog licenses.  Typically, dog licenses expire December 31 of each year.  Due to the pandemic, the state extended this deadline for six months until June.  Residents are strongly encouraged to renew licenses before June 2 to avoid mandatory late fines.  Proof of current rabies vaccination is required to be presented at the time of dog licensing.   Residents can license their dog at any time at the Lewiston City Clerk’s Office, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4 pm.  This service is also available online.
